Nokia creates mobile community
August 09, 2007
It is going to be easier to create and share different kinds of mobile content. That is the idea driving Nokia's mobile-centered community Mosh.
The name Mosh is short for ”mobilize and share”, and it is the latter that makes Mosh stand out from the crowd. Not the fact that sharing with other users is possible, but that it is possible to share applications as well as videos, images, music files and documents. The common denominator for this uploaded content is that it will be reachable from a mobile phone.
Mosh is currently in beta, which means it is still under development. If you want access to Mosh, visit mosh.nokia.com and state your interest by typing in your e-mail address.
As a member, it is possible to upload your own content, or create collections by combining content that others have uploaded.
Naturally, it is possible to surf to Mosh on a regular computer, but the intention is that it will be used in a mobile environment. Either by using the mobile browser or using a special software application that is intended to make the whole experience easier and faster.

”The moment you think that things are really going great, then it is high time for change”. The words are adapted from Motorola boss Ed Zanders. If only he and Motorola had lived by this wise idea, perhaps it did not have to be a mobile manufacturer in crisis. It should have had that change years ago.
