EISA is an organization consisting of about 50 technology magazine from around 20 European countries. Each year it votes on the best products within a number of categories. The votes for 2007-2008 have now been counted.
Samsung U700 was elected the mobile phone of the year. The EISA jury was impressed by, among other things, the slim design of the phone, and the fact that it supports turbo 3G.
In addition, a winner was elected in a separate category for the best multimedia mobile. Here, Nokia N95 got the prize. In its motivation, the jury writes that the N95 contains practically every function imaginable in a mobile phone.
