New features in Nokia's Intellisync

The possibilities to protect the phone after theft and wider support functions are among the news in the latest version of Nokia Intellisync Mobile Suite.

Nokia Intellisync Mobil Suite is a solution to synchronize and remote control mobile phones. A new version is now released with larger possibilities to turn off functions and better abilities to aid users that are in trouble.

When it comes to distance support it is the Windows Mobile user that can look forward to larger chances to get aid when they can not reach their mobiles. Now the phone can be controlled remotely by support staff in the same way as if they were holding it in their hands. Nokia states that the feature will also be available for Symbian phones in later versions.

Some features to turn off some parts only work on Windows Mobile in this version. People with administrator's rights can shut off the camera, disconnect the phone WLAN, or prevent the user from accessing the memory card.

For Symbian phones in Nokia's N and E series there are instead added features to be used if the phone is lost or gets stolen. Then you can make sure that all stored data is deleted and that a password has to be entered to start the phone.
