Microsoft mobile can act as 3G router

In addition to connect a computer directly to the mobile, it is also possible to use ones Windows mobile as a WLAN router and connect several computers wirelessly.

Several mobile operators selling routers that have a SIM-card slot, and are connected to the mobile network instead of using a fixed broadband connection. If you have a Windows mobile with WLAN, you can save those hundreds of euros that a router will cost you, and instead install a free software that gives you the same possibilities.

Using the phone as a router is nothing new, but using the software Wmwifirouter it becomes considerably easier than before. If you want to try out the program, you should be aware of that it is still under development, and that it might contain bugs. There is also a lack of documentation, but the software is fairly simple, and does not have that many settings to do. There is no expertise needed to use it, but some experience in connecting wirelessly might be good to have.

Another thing to keep in mind is that it might be expensive to surf via the mobile, depending of subscription. If you plan to surf a lot, you should get a data subscription for your mobile.
