Images of Nokia E71

The first images of Nokias upcoming keyboard mobile E71 has emerged on the net.

Nokia is expected to present a new smartphone carrying the model name E71 at the Mobile World fair in Barcelona this February. Now the first images of the successor to the E61 have been published on a number of web sites. The E71 is according to sources both smaller and slimmer than previous versions. Despite the slimmer width, the keyboard remains virtually unchanged. The E71 has a larget space key and two keys less than the E61i, but that does not have to mean that Nokia has chosen a different solution for separate keys for European special characters, a thing that made the E61i special.

It does have a so-called landscape screen, a bit wider than its height, but the resolution is still said to be 320x200 pixels, which is better than the QVGA screen found in the predecessor. Among the obvious improvements are turbo 3G and internal GPS.

The E71 will probably hit markets during the second quarter this year.
