Vibrating silver mobile from Samsung
January 18, 2008
Samsung L170 has the same style as several previous Samsung models with touch keys below the screen. To make it easier, the mobile vibrates when the keys are pressed.
J400
L170
The L170 is black and silver coloured with touch keys built into the shell below the display. In some of our previous tests we have found it hard to use these buttons, but now Samsung has made sure the phone vibrates to confirm key presses. Regarding features, the L170 is a 3G mobile with EDGE, 2-megapixel camera and FM radio. The display is relatively small at 1.6 inches capable of showing 262,000 colours. The memory holds 45 megabytes and can be increased by using MicroSD cards.
It measures 102.3 x 45.8 x 10.7 millimetres. It will be sold at about 335 euro.
At the same time, Samsung launches the foldable J400. It is a bit simpler than the L170 and is equipped with a 1.3-megapixel camera. The inner screen is 2 inches wide at 262,000 colours. There is a smaller screen on the outside. J400 is a 3G mobile supporting EDGE. The memory included is 8 megabytes, but there is room to increase that by using a MicroSD card. The phone measures 99 x 49.5 x 15.9 millimetres and weighs 99,5 grams. It will be available in March at around 250 euro.
