Softer lines in Nokia's new designer mobile

Nokia extends its Prism series with the 7900 Crystal Prism. Its angular pattern is recognizable in the key pad but on the edges and on the backside it has been blessed with a less strict shape.

The 7900 Crystal Prism is first and foremost a designer mobile, but it is not completely without features. It is a 3G mobile with an OLED screen. The internal memory holds 1 gigabyte of data. And that is all that you will get, since there is no slot for a memory card available. There is a 2-megapixel camera on the backside that also works as a video camera.

Crystal Prism has been design in co-operation with the designer Frédérique Daubal. In addition to bringing forth the laser-etched patterns, he has also styled the background images and a number of accessories. To really make you feel unique when buying a Crystal Prism, it is possible to choose between 49 different colours for the key pad background lighting.

The sales of its predecessor 7900 Prism might not have been stellar in Scandinavia, since Nokia has decided that the 7900 will not be sold there.
