Flash challenger in Nokia's mobiles

Nokia plans to equip its mobiles with Silverlight, Microsoft's own equivalent to Flash.
Nokia choses to talk about Silverlight in quite general terms. It is clear, though, that the company will include support for Silverlight in its upcoming smart S60 phones, as well as the simpler S40 phones, and surf boards.
Probably the S60 models are first in line. Developers will get access to Silverlight later this year. It is not yet clear as to when the new possibilities will be available on S40 phones and surf boards, but most likely it will be later than for the S60 system.
At this moment, over 50 Nokia models support Flash Lite, a simpler form of the Flash format.

Sony Ericsson's next launch takes place on June 17. Five or six new phones are expected. Among them G702, code-named Beibei, and P1-follow up code-named Paris. A simpler Cybershot mobile called C300 is also expected.
