All the 3G Iphone rumours

It is soon time for the Apple developer conference and there are many indications that we will then see an Iphone 2.0 in a slimmed 3G version. We have compiled the rumours.
Above all, according to rumours, the new phone will be equipped with 3G instead of the Edge technology used today. The phone will be built around a 3G chip from Infineon, a chip that can handle turbo 3G up to 7.2 Mbit/s, 5-megapixel cameras and supports mpeg4 and h.263 video. That, however, does not mean that all that will be included by Apple in the new Iphone.
In the US, video calls are, if possible, even rarer than in Europe, and therefore it is unclear whether the 3G Iphone will get double cameras to support this. The format of the phone is said to be slimmer than its predecessor, being 2.5 millimetres thinner and using more expensive materials than previously. No major changes to menus and graphical user interface are expected.
If speculations are right, the 3G Iphone will be launched in an 8-gigabyte version and one version with 16 gigabytes. A 32-gigabyte version has been mentioned, but that information is more unreliable.
A number of Australian resellers have claimed that the phone will be launched over there at the end of June, and without any tie-up to any subscription. That would point to a radical change in Apple's Iphone strategy, and also lead to a higher sales price, since there would be no revenue sharing with operators.

Sony Ericsson's next launch takes place on June 17. Five or six new phones are expected. Among them G702, code-named Beibei, and P1-follow up code-named Paris. A simpler Cybershot mobile called C300 is also expected.
